About Gracie
Once upon a time, there was a not-so-little girl who had a wild imagination.
She daydreamed about a lot of things. She imagined herself on a Broadway stage but also imagined getting the lead role in the class play so hard that she could physically feel it in her body. She imagined herself getting perfect scores on weekly spelling tests to the point that she had her father quiz her endlessly on the list of words each week. And in third grade, she was the only student to get a perfect score on every single weekly spelling test (and get the bonus words too).
She loved Disney World, which was perfect for someone with a wild imagination, and wanted to be a Disney princess, but also imagined stage productions that she created of each of the Disney princess' stories.
But also, she daydreamed about lunch time.

Mary Grace (Gracie) Donaldson-Cipriano (she/her) is a lifetime resident of Nassau County, New York, with the exception of four years at college at Salve Regina University in Rhode Island, and six months on the Disney College Program in Florida. At Salve Regina University, she earned Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Media Studies and Religious and Theological Studies as well as Minor in Vocal Music. Gracie also holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Communications from Fordham University.
Today, Gracie's work has been published on CatholicNewsAgency.com, BizWomen.com, in the Inner Circle Executive magazine, and she has dabbled in sports blogging through her intense love of the New York Yankees. By day, she is the office manager at her family's commercial vehicle leasing business, and freelances as a content creator and manager and publicist for local businesses. Gracie is also a professional singer, leading music at several Masses per month at her home parish, and has appeared in and worked on the production side of several local productions on Long Island. She volunteers on local political campaigns on a regular basis, and has campaigned for the likes of former NY State Senator Anna Kaplan and NY-03 Congressman Tom Suozzi, as well as for mayoral and city council candidates.

Over the course of her entire life, Gracie has struggled with binge eating and food addiction, and has found herself wondering why she could never apply her intense work ethic and desire for achievement to her health. Once she found her way to GLP-1 medications, as well as a PCOS diagnosis, and armed with knowledge of the disease of obesity, her frustration became validated. While she works toward good health, Gracie is on a mission to educate her community about food noise, disordered eating, the stigma against the disease of obesity as well as use of GLP-1 medications, and other related issues. Join Gracie as she fights food noise and societal stigmas!

Gracie lives in Glen Cove, NY with her husband, Anthony. She is a rabid fan of baseball (specifically the Yankees), hockey (specifically the New York Islanders), musical theatre, the Frozen franchise, Walt Disney World, and Dateline NBC -- and stands by the fact that her weight is the least interesting thing about her. She is the proud aunt of a niece and three nephews, and the proud Godmother to Grace and Luis.
